Hey There Alan

I was chatting with one of our friends in the afternoon when we happened to talk about the Plain White Tees. They are an alternative rock band from the States with their famous hit song 'Hey There Delilah'. It was all over the radio and TV when I had fallen in love with Vinokur and because of the amazing applicability of the lyrics to our lives, I decided to do a cover. Nothing special. Just another lousy Kris cover.

As I mentioned, I was reminded about that cover and I decided to post that here. I don't know how to just post that song. Hence I posted the entire catalogue of my original songs as a widget.

Please listen to 'Hey There Alan' and let me know as to what you think!

The concocted lyrics are these.
Hey there Alan
What's it like in New York City?
I'm a thousand miles away
But man, tonight you look so pretty
Yes you do
Times Square can't shine as bright as you
I swear it's true

Hey there Alan
Don't you worry about the distance
I'm right there if you get lonely
Give this song another listen
Close your eyes
Listen to my voice, it's my disguise
I'm by your side

Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
What you do to me

Hey there Alan
I know times are getting hard
But just believe me, man
Someday I'll pay the bills with this guitar
We'll have it good
We'll have the life we knew we would
My word is good

Hey there Alan
I've got so much left to say
If every simple song I wrote to you
Would take your breath away
I'd write it all
Even more in love with me you'd fall
We'd have it all

Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me

A thousand miles seems pretty far
But they've got planes and trains and cars
I'd walk to you if I had no other way
Our friends would all make fun of us
and we'll just laugh along because we know
That none of them have felt this way
Alan I can promise you
That by the time we get through
The world will never ever be the same
And you're to blame

Hey there Alan
You be good and don't you miss me
Two more years and you'll be done with school
And I'll be making history like I do
You'll know it's all because of you
We can do whatever we want to
Hey there Alan here's to you
This one's for you

Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
What you do to me.

@ DelhiBoi: Glad you liked it! Vinokur had cried a couple of cute Jew tears when he heard it. I'm hoping he would do once more!

@ handmaiden: Thank you for visiting! hope you find it enjoyable here!

I listened to both & frankly I found yours the most enjoyable.

Why?

It was the easiest to listen to. IMO that is most important. We all desire a bit of pathos in our life, but not too much.
Your voice & melody came across as less morose & endearing even.

Definitely, Keep up what you are doing. :)

@ Bryan: Thanks! First time I'm seeing you here! (Guys, just take alook at his profile picture!)

@ Handmaiden: Wow, that's some compliment! Easier to listen to? Despite me 'singing'? ;) Thank you!

That's not me!!! (it says so on my blog)He's just very hot and I decided I needed to stare @ him!!

This mess is me. That's an OK picture, I usually look something like that. It doesn't get much better than that though.

I followed handmaiden over here (obviously). I'll try to check in when I can.

You sound good dude. Better than the garbage music that gets played on the radio.

I haven't read this post..m coming strait 2 d point..

My Bihari Man Friday suggested this amazing idea for fighting pimples..

Take a teaspoon of takmaria/tukmuri seeds (those tiny black Falooda seeds) and soak them overnight in a glass of water in the refrigerator. Have that first thing in the morning and c the difference...it’ll take a week at least!

@ Bryan: You better not be that! Cuz then gay vultures on the blog are going to prey on you.

I just took a look at your picture! You seem good looking to me. Look I'm biased for Caucasians as I think they are the best lays that you can find.

If you think that I sound good, then you must check my bands man! They are zillion times better!

@ Swats: Thanks for all that. My pimple is already making an exit!

(PS: I've uploaded the song as a video in another post)

Thanks Kris. That was one of my bad yet slightly sexy piccies.

I'm decent enough, I guess... but you can't see it all. I wish I couldn't.

Right now I'm in a pretty cool motel that is rather nice. Unfortunately there are floor to ceiling mirrors all over the place.

Thank the powers there isn't one over the bed!

Lol! Wow.. This song really suits you, doesn't it? I had become a fan of PWT's the moment I had seen the video for this song on VH1. The original is wonderful, and so is your version.
Love,
Firebolt.

@ Bryan: You don't have to justify your sexuality to me. I'm a whore for Caucasian men with any amount of maturity anyway. Shouldn't you having fun with someone else as well?

@ Firebolt: It does suit me. Thanks for you nice words! Hugs back!

@ Bryan: Your 'sexiness' rather. ;)
