The trans-atlantic wave of depression

Don't blame me for getting into a this sullen mood. The reality is so. Everyone in my virtual blog world knows how badly I want to live with Vinokur and lead a family with kids and stuff. For that to happen we have to have a few things ironed out. And those seem to impossible.
  • Me to the US - Well I don't have a VISA. I don't have money. I don't seem to be getting any significant money in the near future.
  • Him to India - He has a VISA. But his savings have gone to null after the hospital admission and his private nurse salaries.
  • His health - He seems to be crippling due to the maladies that are infesting him. And as you know, the health system in the states is very weird.
Yesterday night, we spent a lot of time crying. On Skype, that is. It just seems so improbable that we can live together. If you think of the odds, its miserable. I know a lot of people who would be willing to give anything to find a love and partner(s) like us. Yet, for us, living together is all but a fantasy.

Apart from that, the rats, the state of affairs in the band and the exam situation aren't helpling me a lot either, you know. After posting this, I'm planning to get rid of that unforgiving stench rat-excreta stench. I'm already two rat-kill cakes down. There seems to be no respite. I am seriously considering getting a cat. They always, seems to make me feel better. Another thing that would make me happy is a lot of commenting. All of you, who want to help a soul, please do drop in comments.

1. I am wordless for your situation with Vinokur. A long distance-relationship is hard. I know it. I have seen people suffering due to that. I cannot say I can relate to what you say. But I can at least say I can understand and cheers !

2. Is his health condition is really bad ? what's wrong ? if that is not so privy...

3.I know a lot of people who would be willing to give anything to find a love and partner(s) like us

partnerS...that was funny !

All I could say to you now is just a cheer up and give you a virtual hug !

@ Prash: I have posted about the health situation elsewhere. I'm too lazy to search it out now. And I'll be posting about it soon.

Thanks for the hug! :)

get the cats, kill the rats, try boric acid and if that does not work, bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until the juices run clear, don't leave the band --you don't want to be the fifth beetle, just blend in and be bad ass, keep an eye out for yoko, she's a bitch, get out of your place, go to crossroads, find a table and study your ass off, unless someone wins the lotto or the band takes off, you're going to have to work your ass off, which you have proven you can do, Jesus Christ, is there anything that can be done about the rats? like a freakin exterminator? maybe your friends can put together a help Kriss fund, you make some t-shirts or chuddies with maybe you're head in that rainbow cowboy hat, that should be worth at least 9.99. Hell, I'll buy a mug, no problemmo.
That's the problem with you're 12099988787 cites, no merchandise --don't you know, it's about the merchandising.
I mean if a guy's overrun with rats its time for an intervention, start with a tape of andrew loyyd weber's CATS, if that doesn't happen get some help, last thing you want to do is wake up with a few missing fingers, this is serious --Q

Okay, I can't match up to the comment above mine, but yes. consider a companion in the house. A cat or dog for starters. As for V, yes, it's tough. Maybe a little more time will find a solution.

@ Q: I will try to sell my ass off. And I have actually managed to get the stink out. Just finished mopping up the entire excretory mess. I'll get a cat soon.

About the band, it's just a phase. It will pass. And I will study my ass off! Thanks for the inspiration!

LOLz about the Weber's CATS!

@ UnsungPsalm: A cat for sure. It's easier than a dog. And as for Vinokur, time will tell! :)

One word... STUDY

I know you are a very talented musician and all that. But right now, the academics is more of a sure thing than the band (atleast unless you sell a lot of copies of your debut album).

Leave everything else for later, especially the crying and making each other more miserable. Make a 1,2 3 whatever year plan dig in your heels and work your arse off.

It will work but you need a plan.

A well wisher in NYC

Kris Bass said...

@ awwiNYC: I understand your point. I am trying to study. And you could help me by talking Vinokur out of depression! Thank ya! :)

don't laugh --the Cats album is a good idea, if nothing else the last two people in Mumbai who don't know you're gay will have their answer -q

Sign up for some medical conference in the USA. Get your VISA. Collect funds from friends, buy a ticket and go to NYC and file for political asylum on grounds of persecution due to you being a fag.
Problem of rats, cats, love, band solved. Studies - you're on your own there.

Kris Bass said...

@ Q: I didn't quite get that.

@ Anonymous: That is so easy to say. What do I do about my career and the band. And how do I pay back the money?

Why is our favorite doctor so "blue"??

Listen you have access to all the prescription drugs you want, you know how to play the guitar, and a real guitar, not the one those losers play in the air, you are in an actual rock band which has a fucking audience and does not sound like a cover band for the Plain White T's, and you have a man who loves you and for some reason wants to live with you.

I'll tell you the same thing I told Vladimir Putin

I'm feeling much better now, after cleaning up the whole apartment. I had a good time at practice with Noise Market as well.

And rambws, you always make me smile!

basically, if you played the Andrew Lloyd Webber Album out loud, everyone would know for sure. if they already didn't, that you are indeed a homo ! ; ) --it was funnier in the morning, i swear.

--don't forget, even though you are in a great relationship( darn! and one that i respect) and pretty much told me to get lost, I'm still going to continue with my mad crush and hope you come around sometime in this next decade or so, I still want to turn your world upside down so I can put it back together my way ( said with "gumtion" )-Q

Kris Bass said...

@ Quested: It is funny still. I'll try to get the album someday to convinvce my neighbors.

And I could perceive that you are going to keep your efforts intact. Next decade, perhaps!

I know I'm terribly late on this one, but I'm just in awe seeing the commitment you have for each other! I must say, you guys make us see what real love is, how much work one needs to put to make love soar. Only few, very few will have the strength to withstand such challenges. I know I'm not that matured, may be that's why He is not showing my knight in shining armour.

I always tend to get this feeling about others which has always come true. And when I read about you guys, I get the feeling that you guys will definitely be together.

Thank you Sam! For those wonderful words. This deserves to be declared as the best comment that I have received.
