Everyone who's anyone must have seen and been intrigued by the 'See you at home soon' ads that have been going on in TV channels and newspapers. Well, okay. It was not the coolest of teasers. But still, it created enough curiosity inside me to wonder what's gonna be seen at home soon.
Yesterday, I realized that 'Big TV' was going to be seen at home soon. The ad sort of seemed to be a little hastily done (underdone) and reminded me of the rest of the Reliance stuff that I get to see.
Ysterday, as I was browsing through the Times of India when I casually stumbled on this news article. I have to say, I finally have a newfound respect for Reliance group. They have the spunk to go hunt down a competitor like the Mountain Dew Vs. Sprite fight!

Wow! Talk about Ethics (rather, the lack of it!)
@ Unsungpsalm: ;)
As they said in the article...marketing is war! and all is fair. I was one of those people who was confused...cos I kinda knew that the teaser was not for Big TV as they already had a long ad that could be cut short depending on time slices with the "Ho to Big Ho" slogan (one of A's fave ;) )So, was confused when I saw the Reliance Ad with the sofa thingie...I also knew Airtel TV was up too as I saw ads for that. So, was kinda intrigued as to which particular brand was the see you at home soon one! :D
@ Myheadtrip: Don't you think it's like stealing one's ideas? I mean, copyright violations?
not really...cos they did not lift it directly...I remember something like this way back when I was a kid, one group actually sued the other...nutramul and some other drink. So, if Bharti thinks their copyright has been violated; they have to sue :D And we can sit back and watch the fun of commercial warfare
@ Myheadtrip: Yeah, I hope to see some commercial warfare. But again, I can't follow all this as I should until exams finish!
will keep you posted ;)
@ MyHeadTrip: Okay!
