The good point though is that I have managed to write something else inspired by X-men and LGBT rights. And just to remember that the earthquake did it. So some natural calamities need to be acknowledged. And who knows, I might be a mutant who can judge earthquakes seconds before they hit! ;) Here's the lyric - it's called the Rainbow Song.

@ Prash: Well, if you read up about the article on X-men in Wikipedia, you will understand that the the whole concept of mutants and their rights paralles LGBT rights. This is the article stub.
Another metaphor that has been applied to the X-Men is that of LGBT rights. Comparisons have been made between the mutants' situation, including concealment of their powers and the age they realize these powers, and homosexuality.[3] Several scenes in the X-Men films, two of which were directed by openly gay director Bryan Singer, illustrate this theme. The first film featured a scene in which Senator Robert Kelly questioned whether mutants should be allowed to teach children in school, mirroring such debates as that over Section 28, in which Sir Ian McKellen (who played Magneto in the film, and who is also openly gay) was involved. Bobby Drake "comes out" as a mutant to his parents in X2. In response, Bobby's mother asks him, "Have you tried not being a mutant?", referencing a popular belief that homosexuality is not inherent, but rather a "lifestyle choice". I'm aware of the comparison of mutant rights in X-Men with LGBT issues in real life. Even though I'm unable to watch/read any of the stuff, I felt good when I learned about the connection.
Pity I don't have TV/Internet now. Last I saw X-Men on TV was Cartoon Network's X-Men:Evolution. I never knew about Jean Grey's metamorphosis into Phoenix.
