At work yesterday evening, I was informed that I had a new assignment with a close deadline in hours. I had to write something creative on India in a weekly newsletter that our company sends to our clients. It was weird. To work on a new piece at such a short notice. I too write for living, hve been technical writer for the last eight years.
From a writer to another, whtever u write while at work does not belong to u. It belongs to the company u work for. Avoid using the same content in ur blogs.
If ur company has any site whr others can view the content u wrote, give a link to the site. If the company allows general public to download n view the newsletter you can download n send.

@ Anonymous: I never thought of it that way. I'll be careful about this next time.

Hey Dude
your co. can prosecute you if you share their contents on the web without their permission.
Instead of next time, delete stuff that belongs to your co.
