Noise Market video

This is just and experiment. We recorded (with my camera) some home videos of our songs in January. This I thought was the funniest of them all. Do you like the song? Do you like the video? Please bother to comment!

its still loading in the mean time: does that guitar player *have* to have long bob marley hair? and does the bassist *have* to bang head so hard on an apparently melodious song ;)

the lead singer is cute ;) the others need to go and get a haircut and shave :p they look unclean n dirty

WHY DO U 'INDIAN ROCK BANDS' have to follow those stupid druggies from west just because u play guitars??? go clean please(i hate this net at home, its so slow)

Okay .. love the song.

Being a rock-obsessed freak myself, I would never ever say something like that unless I mean it. Cause I don't wanna upset the big guitar in the sky.

Anyways, the song would make for a cool video. And I can almost imagine it being the opener of a niche, indie film.

i think i was too rash in the previous two comments...maybe its because i seem to have caught Swati's fever... i feel delirious...but i seriously want to contribute here :(

@ Fly: I thought I needed to do another post for all your queries and comments. But then, I thought against it.

Those confused about indentities can check out the Noise Market blog to check out real photographs and understand who's who.

About the long hair - It's our choice. It's needn't always portray the dispalced identity disorder. I myself, like my long hair. And professionally, long hair helps us to provide a better stage performance. You'll have to go to a rock concert to understand that.

About the bassist (a. k. a. ME!) - I'm head banging just for satirical reasons. To understand better, I and the guitarist (playing the red guitar) use hyperbole even in our actions ;).

About the singer looking hot - it is true. You must see the girls hooting for him at the concerts! And, he's straight.

dear krissy, if i could make out who is who on noise market blog, i wudnt have asked u here...itna likhney se achcha to bata hi dete, hunh....looks like u dint like my criticism...well get USED to it, ur famous now ha ha ha....i still think u guys are copying western band when u go for the long hair, loose it and let the cute faces show otherwise it becomes so cliched.....

Okay. For those who are confused, just check out this post on the Noise Market blog.

The guy who sings is the singer.

The guy who plays the red guitar is the guy who plays the acoustic guitar (first picture on the blog).

The guy who plays the bass is me.

The guy who plays the grey guitar is the guy who sleeps on the couch in the photos.

The drummer (Dhirubhai Ambani pose) took this video. He's not in there.

No Fly, your criticism is welcome. Its a good change actually. But again, the long hair is our choice and we won't go clean until we feel like it. ;

Ooops! I'm very sorry dear rambws! Thanks for your words! It's one of our 'coolest' songs on the album as per a few friends that we have previewed the album to.

and @ Fly:

a)Lyrics are written by the singer.

b)We don't put it through anyone in particular. We go through them and make very, very few changes at contentious places. You will understand this in the album.

c)Bass guitarist plays a separate piece of music in a song which is called the bass line. He sort of builds the groove to a song with the drummer/percussion. Chances are that you have liked a few songs just because of the bass 'groove'! And you don't notice it.

d)We'll record the music video some time later. In September perhaps.

e)We'll be on the airwaves about the release of the album. Expectedly, by November.

about the hair again: okay ur choice. maybe u guys want to restrict urself to urban college junkies and don't think urselves to be good enough to become a national phenomenon

ps: i never asked about the cute guy's sexuality
b) the photos in noise market dont help me in identifying the guys here :p

Kris Bass said...

@ Fly: We want to get recognised as a national phenomenon because of our music, not hair. And we are confident to do this.

What would you say about M. S. Dhoni and Ishant Sharma? Didn't they become accepted in rural and urban India?

flygye12 said...

pehli baat: MSD has cut his hair if u have observed, wo alag baat hai ki he looks much much sexier now.
Ishant Sharma is still in that teenage ugly fugly years so he can be maaf karoed

if u want to say that musicians can come on stage unbathed, in chappals and lungis and still there will be scores of youngsters lovin them, you have another think coming...
u can't compare urselves to cricketers... cricketers are selected by cricket selectors. they don't play at the colloseum u see.but musicians definitely play at the colleseum still ! anyways u guys look plain bad in those tresses and facial hair. and that head banging n stuff doesnt suit you. get a style check. u are going to be public figures. i think u need to look good-all the time. only the singer seems to be taking care of himself that is why he has gals swooning at him (didn't think why him n why not u?)...

i like the song...its easy on ears, sticks in ur head n makes u want to hum... :-)

as for the video :-) hmmm...

its obviously rough...but has the element of experiment to it... however, think i saw cars zooming past the window outside...n the light is also much more interesting... maybe if the singer was by the window...

n maybe some thoughts on clothes! :-)

any other songs n video? good luck!

btw, have u watched jay brannan's stuff on youtube?

Kris Bass said...

@ prav: Thanks for your comments. And I'd comment on why the video is like this.

*DISCLAIMER*

This video is not a 'video' per se. It was just a shoot of our practice session and we were fooling around. I mean nothing planned. And therefore, don't judge it that way.
